Hafiz Muhammad Hassan, Chairman

Hafiz Muhammad Hassan Chishti is the younger brother of Chishti Sahib (RA), and he was born in Dhaka, Wadi-e-soon Sakaesar on February 12, 1966. Hafiz Hassan received his early education in reciting the Holy Quran and school education in Wadi-e-soon until middle school. In 1979, he moved to Lahore with his older brother, Chishti Sahib (RA), and younger brother, Hafiz Mehmood-ul-Hassan, where he memorized the Quran and began studying Dars-e-Nizami (a course for Islamic education). Soon after, he studied for and passed his Matriculation examination.

In 1982, all three brothers became active members of a new organization set up in Lahore called Minhaj-ul-Quran, where they were admitted to increase their Islamic education. At this organization, he studied Islamic Education for four years while also completing his FA in college with fantastic grades.

In 1986, he joined Haily College of Commerce of Punjab University, where he received a BCOM degree in two years. During this time, he also took the first steps into practical life and began working as an Imam at Jamia Masjid Hanfia in Lahore Ichara for ten years.

In 1989, he began working as an accountant in Minhaj-ul-Quran in Model Town Lahore, and then in 1990 for Hussain Qarani Centre in Garden Town. In 1990, Chishti Sahib (RA) moved to the UK. After he moved, both brothers began an export business from which he made a great profit. They did this for a year before Hafiz Hassan began traveling to Dubai, Iran, France, Holland, and Denmark to expand his export business.

As well as this, Hafiz Hassan began reciting the Quran in Taraweeh prayers and made a trip to Norway for this purpose and later to Japan in 1996. He was sponsored by Minhaj-ul-Quran to work in their organization in Denmark where he worked for four years teaching the Quran to children. By 2000, he was sponsored again but from the UK to work at Sultan Bahu Trust.

 

In the UK, he began working as an accountant and gaining multiple degrees, first in AAT, than gaining a Ba Honors degree in Accounting and Finance, and also a Masters degree in Islamic Banking and Finance from Aston University, he would do this alongside being an Imam at a center in Hallgreen. This center eventually became known as Al-Hira Educational Centre and Jamia Masjid, a branch of Sultan Bahu Trust.
